Great Opportunity to join a well-funded, high-tech, start-up based in Dublin. The company will operate in a large global market with a value of €1 billion in annual revenues over the next ten years. Since their formation they have won numerous national and EU awards for their technology and their business proposition and are now moving into the next exciting stage of their growth. As part of that growth they are now seeking to hire a Controls Engineer to join their product development team.
The role will involve the continuous development of the control interface to a complex unique product comprising of ~30 axis of motion with accuracy ranging from nm to mm, vacuum control, temperature monitoring, multiple camera interfaces and digital and anologue IO.
The position will report into the company’s CTO and the ideal candidate will be a multidisciplinary team player with a 'hands on' and dynamic attitude. The role will involve: PLC interfacing, Digital Motion Control, Electronics design and System documentation.
This will interest candidates who are qualified to a bachelor degree level or equivalent in automation engineering, electronic engineering or related discipline with preferably three to five years relevant experience. You will have strong knowledge and experience of electronics design, PCB design skills (Eagle/KiCAD/etc), Motion control, stepper and servo (Multi-threading implementation). In addition your background should include PLC programming skills, multiple communication protocol experience and complex interface experience.
Exposure to any of the following would be great: Electronics simulation (e.g. Tina), LabView, Python and experience of the CE process.
