The client is an international organisation involved in the design and manufacture of sensor-based sorting machines and integrated solutions for the food industry, using the world's most advanced analytical technology. The company's mission is to enable its customers to ensure a safe food supply via smart, useable technologies. 

They provide technology-led solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems that optimize resource recovery and minimize waste in the food industry.

You will be a member of a team of multidisciplinary highly skilled engineers and will be involved in machine design from concept right through to commissioning, factory design integration projects and process testing at customer sites. You will also be involved in process trials and testing and optimisation in the product lab located in their Dublin office.

Your day to day role involve the design, development, modification specification, and evaluation of mechanical parts or assemblies for new or existing products. The completion of engineering documentation to release new designs or design modifications. The development of 3D Model concept units in Solidwork. The development of 2D plant layouts using AutoCad. The production and release of ancillary manufacturing and service documentation and manuals. Implement ongoing engineering change orders, ensuring engineering changes are processed and documented. To build prototype units, prepare proof-of-concept rigs and engage in other hands-on activities and to visit customer sites to evaluate product performance and assess site-specific issues.

We would like to meet you if you hold a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering are proficient in 2D drawing and 3D modelling with a working knowledge of Solidworks. Overall you probably have 3+ years industry experience in a design related role. You have a keen eye and appreciation for detail with the ability to work as part of a team but also remotely as they operate a hybrid model. You have top notch communication skills, both written and verbal and a proven problem solving ability.
