The client is an international company operating in the Tele and Data communications infrastructure industry. They are actively seeking a NOC Manager within their Operations & Engineering Group.

You will provide Global NOC technical services and leadership across the organisation's international terrestrial networks and operational teams. Supporting the delivery and the network assurance function to ensure it meets the operational needs of the industry and customers.

The role will help to build, lead and continuously improve an international 365/24 NOC function by supporting delivery of the Telecoms strategy, including the orchestration of day to day network operations and network performance activities with network monitoring, logical configuration activities, reporting and customer communication. Hire, develop and retain highly responsive and customer focused NOC shift engineers, Service management and Tier 2 Technical Support staff to ensure the effective and professional operation of the team. Plan, organise and manage staff and overall network NOC operations to ensure timely and well structured monitoring and management of all customers and consortium systems, networks and services. Transformation of the existing NOC into a world and Carrier class Network Operations team and function. Finally you will establish and maintain healthy partner relationships and management of EU /UK supply chain / 3rd parties ensuring regular service reviews (customers and suppliers).

Ideally you will have at least 5 years network operational experience as well as facility management experience. You have a proven ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business and across all functions as well as strong budget, document control and people management skills. Your experience will include knowledge of Ciena 6500 product (provisioning and operations) and a strong ITIL background throughout Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration management. In addition you should have NOC tools and systems experience across Incident, inventory, NMS, MCP, Change and Configuration platforms.
